Multiple Requests for Additional Information – Finally, Permanent Residence Granted

A permanent residence application is not always decided based only on the documents submitted at the beginning. Sometimes the most important work happens while the application is already being processed. 

Our client’s permanent residence permit application led to multiple requests for additional information from the Finnish Immigration Service. The questions concerned matters that had to be addressed carefully, particularly the client’s employment situation and the documentation supporting it. 

During the process, we helped the client identify a suitable route through employment, arrange the necessary employment documentation and contracts correctly, and prepare responses to Migri’s additional information requests. 

An additional information request is often a critical stage of a residence permit application. It is not enough simply to send more documents. The response should address exactly what Migri is asking, while remaining consistent with the information and documents already submitted in the case. 

When several requests are issued, this becomes even more important. Each new answer forms part of the overall case and may affect how the applicant’s situation is ultimately assessed.

In the end, the application reached the result the client had been working toward — permanent residence in Finland.
