The Best Solution Is Prevention!

This time our client came to our office after receiving an additional information request from the Finnish Immigration Service, asking about his opinion on being deported or receiving a ban to enter the Schengen Area.

At that point, we understood that the case was about receiving a negative decision and reacted in a way we believed was correct. Together with our client, his wife has applied for a residence permit based on family ties. 

Their previous residence permits were based on studies for the wife and based on family ties for the husband. Now, they wanted to change to a residence permit based on employment grounds for the husband and to a residence permit based on family ties for the wife. Such a change in addition to the partial negative decision from TE-Office led to them both about to receive a negative decision.

We reacted fast and changed the grounds of the residence permits of both applicants and returned the case to the initial form which was the extended residence permit based on studies for the wife and the residence permit based on family ties for the husband, that way we restored the natural order and throughout the technical interaction. 

we somehow balanced the entire situation by canceling the previous residence permit application and directly applying for the new residence permit. We received the positive decisions within five working days. That of one year for both of them after many additional information requests were sent to the sponsor, the wife, under the residence permit based on studies.

It was a very complicated case and we understand how people could not follow up with this type of change and demand of the law and the administrative process which takes place in such situations.
