Deportation Stopped!

When our client first reached out to us, they had just received a negative preliminary decision from the Administrative Court regarding their appeal of a negative residence permit decision from the Finnish Immigration Service. The original application, based on employment grounds, had been denied, leaving the client uncertain about their next steps.

After carefully assessing the situation, we inquired about any recent developments in their personal life. That’s when we learned that just one week earlier, the client had married a Finnish citizen and had already submitted a new residence permit application based on family ties. With this crucial new information, we promptly adjusted our strategy.

We immediately submitted a prohibition of enforcement application to stop the deportation order and simultaneously filed a request with the Finnish Immigration Service to expedite the processing of the newly submitted residence permit application.

Thanks to our timely intervention and strategic approach, the deportation order was successfully stopped. Within two days, our client was officially allowed to remain in Finland with their spouse while awaiting a decision on their new application.

This case highlights that even after a negative decision, alternative legal solutions may still be available. With the right guidance, a better path forward can be found.

We appreciate the trust our client placed in us to navigate this important change. If you are considering switching your residence permit grounds or need expert guidance on immigration matters.

Our office will continue providing high-quality legal and administrative services, understanding that immigration matters can significantly impact lives and futures. If you’re facing challenges with your residence permit, do not hesitate to reach out to us for professional assistance.
