Another Positive Decision!

Our client’s situation required strategic intervention. After facing difficulties with a prior residence permit application, we carefully reviewed the case and identified that a change in legal grounds was necessary to ensure a successful outcome.

We filed an appeal and at the same time changed the basis of the application to employment grounds, aligning the case with the requirements of the Finnish Aliens Act. As part of this effort, we also worked closely with the client and their employer to adjust the client’s working hours in compliance with the regulations. This ensured that all aspects of the application—both legal and practical—were fully in line with what the Finnish Immigration Service expects from a permit based on employment.

Thanks to this careful restructuring of the case, the Finnish Immigration Service issued a positive decision. The client was granted an extended Type A residence permit valid for four years, along with the right to work in designated sectors, including domestic cleaning and facility maintenance. The permit also provides the right to work in other labor shortage fields as determined by government regulation.
