Another Positive Decision!

Our client first came to us after receiving a request for additional information from the Finnish Immigration Service. At that point, the authorities were preparing to issue a negative decision on the client’s residence status—one that included a deportation order and an entry ban, due to the expiration of a previous residence permit. The situation was extremely serious, as an entry ban would have significantly complicated the client’s chances of returning to Finland in the future.

Understanding the gravity of the case, our immediate focus was to minimize the potential damage. We worked quickly to respond to the additional information request and build a legal argument that would avoid the imposition of an entry ban. Avoiding the entry ban was essential, as it would have created long-term barriers and legal complications far beyond the immediate rejection.

Despite our efforts, the Finnish Immigration Service issued a negative decision. However, the entry ban was successfully avoided. With the deportation order still in effect, we took swift legal action by drafting an appeal to the Administrative Court. This step was crucial to stop the deportation process and allow the client to remain in Finland while the case was under process .

At the same time, we submitted a new residence permit application based on employment grounds. This parallel strategy strengthened the client’s legal position and demonstrated ongoing ties to Finland, especially through work in sectors recognized as labor shortage areas by the Finnish Government.

Following this coordinated legal approach, the Finnish Immigration Service issued a positive decision. A Type A (continuous) residence permit was granted, valid from 27.6.2025 to 28.11.2025, with full working rights in the client’s field and in other labor shortage sectors.

Our office will continue providing high-quality legal and administrative services, understanding that immigration matters can significantly impact lives and futures. If you’re facing challenges with your residence permit, do not hesitate to reach out to us for professional assistance.
