Another Positive Decision!

Our client contacted us after receiving a negative decision from the Finnish Immigration Service. An application for an extended residence permit had been rejected, and the client was at risk of being removed from the country. The Negative decision was based on procedural grounds and issues with the submitted documentation, which we determined had a solid basis for legal challenge.

Recognizing the seriousness of the situation, we immediately drafted an appeal to the Administrative Court. At the same time, we submitted a new residence permit application based on employment grounds. This was not a first-time residence permit, but an extanded one supported by the client’s existing presence and employment ties in Finland.

We worked closely to gather updated employment documentation and present a strong legal argument that demonstrated eligibility for a permit under the Finnish Aliens Act. The application emphasized that the client worked in a profession listed among Finland’s labor shortage sectors and met all the necessary requirements.

As a result of thorough preparation and persistent legal follow-up, the Finnish Immigration Service issued a positive decision on the new application. A continuous (Type A) residence permit was granted, valid for four years, including the right to work in the specified profession as well as other labor shortage sectors.

Our office will continue providing high-quality legal and administrative services, understanding that immigration matters can significantly impact lives and futures. If you’re facing challenges with your residence permit, do not hesitate to reach out to us for professional assistance.
