Another Positive Decision!

Our client approached us after receiving a negative decision from the Finnish Immigration Service. The authority had rejected his applications for an extended residence permit based on both employment and family ties and had also issued a deportation order. The reason for the rejection was the absence of a valid travel document, which the Finnish Immigration Service considered a legal requirement under the Finnish Aliens Act.
Understanding the seriousness of the situation, we immediately filed an appeal with the Administrative Court. Over the course of the proceedings, we worked closely with the authorities, providing extensive documentation and legal arguments to support our client’s case. Our legal team demonstrated that the client was married to a Finnish citizen and had a well-established life in Finland, and that the circumstances surrounding the lack of a passport were beyond his control, as the Turkish authorities had refused to issue him one for political reasons.
Thanks to consistent communication and cooperation between our office, the client, and the authorities—and supported by new evidence, including proof of a newly issued Turkish passport—the Administrative Court ruled in our client’s favor.
The court cancelled the deportation order and the negative decisions, and sent the case back to the Finnish Immigration Service for re-evaluation. This decision gives our client a renewed opportunity to remain in Finland and have his application reviewed fairly based on the full evidence and legal protections available.
We are proud to have helped our clients achieve this positive result and grateful for their trust in our expertise. If you are facing a negative immigration decision, we encourage you to reach out to us.
