Another Positive Decision!
We are proud to announce that our team successfully managed the entire residence permit process of the first residence permit application based on family ties on behalf of our client, securing a positive decision from the Finnish Immigration Service. The main reason for the celebration is that regardless of the new changes presented to the Finnish Alien´s Act, the Finnish Immigration Service issued a positive decision to our client´s application after the decision maker took everything into consideration.
Our journey began in April 2024, when we submitted the residence permit application on behalf of our client. We ensured that all necessary documentation was meticulously prepared and submitted promptly. Once the application was processed, a diary number was assigned, and the case entered the processing queue. Our team closely monitored every step, staying ahead of any requests for additional information and swiftly addressing them.
On September 1st new changes in the Finnish Alien´s Act were introduced, where it was mentioned by the Finnish Immigration Service through press release on 30.08.2024 the following:
“The stricter requirements of the Aliens Act will also be applied to those applicants who have submitted a residence permit application before the entry into force of the amendments on 1 September 2024 but have not yet received a decision.“
Despite this, we maintained regular communication with the Finnish Immigration Service to ensure that all requirements were met. By October 8th, the decision was finalized, and we informed our client of the positive outcome. The decision was accessible through the client’s user account, and the residence permit was granted.
