And another positive decision!

This time, our client was employed by a big cleaning company in Finland which usually hires people coming directly from the Philippines. The company our client was hired for had a long history of having issues with the tax authorities and employee exploitation cases pending against the company. One of these factors was the reason our client got a negative decision from the TE-Office and, eventually, a negative decision from the Finnish Immigration Service.

Once we understood the situation, we requested the client to send us the necessary documents to be able to apply for a new residence permit application and appeal the negative decision of the Finnish Immigration Service to the Administrative Court. It is the reason why our client started looking for alternative employment contracts and she was able to find two. One covers 5 daily working hours and the other one 3 daily working hours. As far as these contracts are of the same employment field the working hours are combined when the TE-Office processes the case. The total working hours are more than 37.5 hours per week.

The 37.5 hours a week mentioned above is a requirement for a residence permit based on employment grounds in the field of cleaning to receive a partial positive decision within the Uusimaa region.

We undertook the entire process of appealing the negative decision of the Finnish Immigration Service to the Administrative Court and applying for the residence permit based on the employment grounds which resulted in receiving a positive decision today after approximately one month and five days of process!

We are happy that our client trusted us with their case. We wish other clients facing the same or similar situation – of having already issues with negative decisions and needing to appeal the case to the Administrative Court and those who never had issues but started the process from the beginning – to contact us with expectations to receive similar results. We always strive to provide the best services to our clients!

Our office will continue providing legal and/or administrative services with diligence and empathy, as immigration matters can significantly impact people’s lives. If you are facing such issues, do not hesitate to contact us!

We have also expanded our practice into other legal fields, such as Labor Law, Criminal Law, Civil Law, Family Law, and more.
