Piia Pöyry

Piia Pöyry is a dedicated and versatile legal professional working toward her Master of Laws degree, alongside completing a Master’s in Administrative Sciences with a major in Welfare Law. Her academic and professional background reflects a strong commitment to human rights and a multidisciplinary understanding of legal systems.

Piia has extensive practical experience from several years at a District Court, where she handled civil, criminal, and petitionary matters. She has also worked at the Office of the Non-Discrimination Ombudsman, focusing on employment discrimination cases as part of the working life team. In addition, she has assisted in public procurement matters during her legal internship at a private law firm.

Her main areas of interest include criminal law, immigration law, labour law, and child and family law. Piia approaches legal issues with both analytical precision and deep human insight, always aiming to make legal processes understandable and accessible for her clients
