Another Positive Decision!

Our client initially came to us as a construction worker through an employment group. Subsequently, his new employer visited our office seeking assistance with obtaining a new residence permit based on employment as a hairdresser.

The first step to secure a residence permit on employment grounds as a hairdresser requires the employer to advertise the job position for three weeks. This ensures that the local workforce, including those with residence permits, EU nationals, and Finnish nationals who are currently unemployed, have the opportunity to apply.

During the three weeks of advertisement, only two individuals applied, neither of whom met the job requirements. Consequently, the TE-Office issued a partial positive decision. The Finnish Immigration Service was then set to make the final positive decision but requested an interview.

We prepared our client thoroughly for the interview, anticipating possible questions. Confident in his preparation, our client attended the interview alone.

Following the interview, the Finnish Immigration Service made a final positive decision. We are pleased to announce that our client received a one-year residence permit based on employment grounds type “A”.
