Mr. Teijo Lehikoinen holds a Master of Laws degree from the University of Turku, obtained in 1987, and has been formally trained on the bench in 1989. As a Licensed Legal Counsel, he brings to the table an impressive 35 years of experience specializing in criminal law.

Initially, Mr. Lehikoinen dedicated six years to serving as the Deputy Chief of Police in his hometown of Imatra, subsequently advancing to the role of prosecutor across various regions of Southern Finland, including Imatra, Helsinki, Salo, Hämeenlinna, and Turku. Throughout his extensive career, he has adeptly managed a wide spectrum of serious criminal cases.

For over five years, Mr. Lehikoinen excelled as a special prosecutor in economic crime, gaining additional specialized expertise in computer crimes, demonstrating his adaptability and depth of knowledge in emerging legal challenges.

Between 2015 and 2016, during the significant influx of refugees from Iraq and Syria into Finland, he played a crucial role as a defense lawyer. He actively participated in numerous asylum interviews conducted by the Finnish Immigration Service and contributed to several appeals to administrative courts, showcasing his commitment to human rights and legal advocacy.

Mr. Lehikoinen also possesses valuable international experience, having worked extensively in Russia and Ukraine. This international exposure has enriched his legal practice, offering a broader perspective and enhancing his effectiveness in handling complex legal issues.

Fluent in Finnish, Swedish, English, and Russian, Mr. Lehikoinen’s linguistic skills complement his legal expertise, enabling him to communicate effectively and advocate passionately for his clients across diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
