And Another Positive Decision For The Entire Family!

The family has come to our office to apply for an extended residence permit based on family ties. Normally, we expect this type of process to be easy, however, in this turbulent situation, where the construction field is in crisis people become easily unemployed daily extending a residence permit based on family ties, when the sponsor is employed in the construction field might be challenging, as it is in this case.

While the process was ongoing the sponsor became unemployed for four months. The Finnish Immigration Service was processing an extended residence permit application based on family ties for the whole family of the sponsor, consisting of the wife of our client and two children.

Since the sponsor was unemployed, the Finnish Immigration Service requested the cancellation of his residence permit as he was no longer fulfilling the grounds for the residence permit that was issued to him. However, during that time we responded to the additional information request regarding the issue of the residence permit based on family ties for the family of the sponsor and the additional information request from the Finnish Immigration Service regarding the possible cancellation of the sponsor’s residence permit based on employment grounds.

Throughout this entire process, the spouse managed to keep his four-year residence permit intact and his family have received a residence permit based on the family ties for one year, which will be monitored during this year to ensure that the grounds and the basis of the issue are satisfied so the next residence permit can be issued up to the expiration of the sponsor’s residence permit.

We are happy that our client trusted us in this case. We wish other clients facing the same or similar situation – of having already issues with negative decisions and needing to appeal the case to the Administrative Court and those who never had issues but started the process from the beginning – to contact us with expectations to receive similar results. We always strive to provide the best services to our clients!

Our office will continue providing legal and/or administrative services with diligence and empathy, as immigration matters can significantly impact people’s lives. If you are facing legal issues, do not hesitate to contact us!

We have also expanded our practice into other legal fields, such as Labor Law, Criminal Law, Civil Law, Family Law, and more.
