Another positive decision!

Our client has applied for a residence permit based on employment grounds this time. After she completed her studies, she got a negative decision about her application, because her employer did not respond to the additional request from the TE-Office.

It was a typical procedure and typical decision from the TE-Office, because the TE-Office did not receive the additional information, which was requested, by the time given. As a result, a negative decision was issued to our client.

At that point, our client decided to contact our office. What we did first was, appeal the case to the Administrative Court, and apply for a new residence permit based on employment grounds, at the same time. In our experience, most of our clients and other offices usually apply for one of the two above processes, which is a bad strategy.

Applying for a new residence permit at the same time that you have appealed the case to the Administrative Court, gives you more chances, for the fact that two different decision-makers will be processing a similar case if not the same case.

In that way, we are before two different processes, two different decision makers, who both can lead to a positive decision, but if you choose only one, then the chances of getting it become less.

We applied for a new residence permit application and recently received a positive decision from the Finnish Immigration Service, which was processed faster than the appeal we had lodged to the Administrative Court.

We are happy that our client trusted us in this difficult case and we wish other clients – who are facing the same or similar situation – get the same result.

Our office will continue providing legal or administrative services with diligence and empathy, as immigration matters can have a significant impact on people’s lives. If you are facing legal issues, do not hesitate to contact us!

We have also expanded our practice into other legal fields, such as Labor Law, Criminal Law, Civil Law, Family Law and more.
