Another positive decision for a child!
Two parents of Nigerian origin approached our office following a negative decision. While the sponsor possessed a residence permit valid until November 2024, the spouse and children faced a negative decision and a deportation order is currently pending for execution.
We have taken charge of the entire family’s case and this far, the newborn member of the family has received a positive decision.
The Finnish Immigration Service expedited the processing, considering Article 6, Paragraphs 1 and 3 of the Finnish Alien’s Act. Additionally, they acknowledged that the means of support were not being thoroughly scrutinized at present due to the paramount importance of the child’s best interest.
Consequently, a residence permit has been granted until the expiration of the sponsor’s permit. We are very happy to have been able to assist this family during this challenging period and will continue to do so with all of our clients facing similar issues and approach our office.
The mother’s immigration case is still in progress, but we are optimistic that she will receive a residence permit based on family ties soon!
